Creamed Quail

Ingredients

  • 1⁄3
    c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1
    t
    salt
  • 1
    t
    pepper
  • 1⁄2
    t
    lemon peper
  • 1⁄2
    t
    garlic powder
  • 1⁄2
    t
    paprika
  • 6
     
    quail, cut up and skinned
  • 6
    T
    cooking oil
  • 2
    c
    whipping cream

Instructions

Heat oven to 300 degrees F. In large plastic food storage bag, combine flour, salt, peppers, garlic powder, and paprika. Add quail pieces and shake until all pieces are evenly coated.

Heat oil in skillet over medium-heat. Add quail pieces and cook 10-12 minutes or until meat is browned.

Place quail pieces in 2-quart casserole dish. Pour cream over quail. Cover and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
